PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error detector for specifying a hard disk drive (HDD), in which an error is detected, and contents of the detected error in a computer system with a plurality of HDDs mounted thereon. SOLUTION: Error detectors 7, 16 includes a signal acquisition means 9 acquiring a signal to be transmitted/received between the HDD 1 and an information processor 6 connected to the HDD 1; an error detection means 10 detecting the error in the HDD 1 on the basis of the acquired signal; and an error display means 12 displaying the detected error by classification with colors or characters.
