PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift performance detection device capable of detecting the lift performance precisely by inhibiting the generation of noise from the output voltage of a sensor caused by the affection from the metallic member. SOLUTION: The tip part 32 of the eddy current sensor 30 a slanted cross section 32a is formed. The eddy current sensor 30 is fixed with the fixing member 50 so as to be parallel to the slanted cross section 32a with the upper surface 14a of the retainer 14 provided on the valve 10. The eddy current sensor 30 is fixed with the fixing member 50 so as to slant to the upper surface 14a of the retainer. The eddy current sensor 30 is connected with the sensor controller 46.
