METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FORMED PRODUCT WITH TOOTH PROFILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a formed product with tooth profile inexpensively in a high manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for manufacturing the formed product äa pulley shaft 1 for CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission)} having a tooth profile part 4 comprises: a process for hot-foging a blank to form a rough forged product 10 having a round disk-shaped part (pulley part 3) or a round annular part; a process for forming the tooth profile part 4 having excess thickness parts 18 at the peripheral side of the round disk-shaped part or the round annular part by shirking the excess thickness parts 18 from the peripheral surface of this round disk-like part or the round annular part into the radial direction; and a process for removing the excess thickness parts, are provided.
