PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to remove thrombus decay products from a lumen. SOLUTION: In the device to remove thrombus decay products from a lumen, a catheter 18, a flexible elongate wire 16 placed on the catheter 18, a motor 12 connected to the wire 16 for rotating the wire 16 in a speed sufficient to produce an orienting wave at a part of the wire 16 extending from the catheter 18, a control means to drive the motor 12, and a holding means to facilitate the catheter 18 to be easily and manually rotated other than the wire 16 when the wire 16 is rotated are equipped.
