PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily pass through a narrowed part in an insertion route, to improve the insertion operability of an insertion part and to reduce pains of an object by turning the almost entire distal end hard part of the insertion part to a tapered shape in an endoscope to which an imaging means is mounted. SOLUTION: A distal end main body 10 is in such a tapered shape that the most distal end face has the smallest diameter and the diameter is continuously enlarged toward the proximal end side. A connection ring 11 connected to the distal end main body 10 is formed such that a fitting part to the distal end main body 10 has the minimum thickness and the thickness is continuously increased toward the proximal end side. The inner diameter of the connection ring 11 does not practically change to the part where a recessed part 11a is formed, only the outer diameter is enlarged, the outer surface side of the connection ring 11 is turned to a tapered surface shape, and the tapered surface of the connection ring 11 is turned to the almost continuous tapered shape without a level difference from the tapered surface of the distal end main body 10.
