PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for sanitary control achieving higher levels of the sanitary control over pharmaceutical-related products directly administered to human bodies by detecting or measuring not only live bacteria but also killed bacteria because there problems that the presence of the killed bacteria cannot be detected or measured at all in examinations for pharmaceutical- and medical-related solids, liquid products, intermediate products, etc., by conventional methods for culturing microorganisms. SOLUTION: The method for the sanitary control over the products and intermediate products directly administered to the human bodies is provided. The method comprises a total bacterial count measuring step of measuring the live bacterial and killed bacterial counts and a sanitary condition judging step of judging the sanitary conditions with the value of the total bacterial count measured in the total bacterial count measuring step.
