The injector has a piezo control module (6), and a hydraulic coupler (45) and nozzle needle (47) axially arranged in series in a fuel-high pressure chamber (5a). The nozzle needle is actuated by the hydraulic coupler in parallel or contrary to lifting of the piezo-control module. The pressure chamber of the hydraulic coupler is connected constantly with the high pressure chamber of the injector by a guidance play of the hydraulic coupler and the nozzle needle. The hydraulic coupler hydraulically connects the piezo control module and nozzle needle.
