An optical system for a security camera with special lens arrangement is provided to obtain megapixel performance by having brightness and resolution ranking next to an optical system using an aspheric lens, by arranging a spherical lens with a ultra high refractive index. A first lens(10) has a negative power, a convex plane on an object side, and a concave plane on the top side. A second lens(20) has a positive power, a convex plane on the object side, and a concave plane on the top side. A third lens(30) has a positive power, a convex plane on the object side, and the top side. A fourth lens(40) has a negative power, a concave plane on the object side, and a concave or convex plane on the top side. An iris lens(50) converges a light incident from the first lens selectively.
