<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable manufacturing of an optical fiber coil in a short time without requiring skills. <P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber is put into a round hole 1a of a coiling guide 1 and while the optical fiber is pressed toward an inner peripheral wall 1b of the hole 1a by a close contacting guide 5, the coiling guide 1 is rotated by a turntable 2. Thereupon, the optical fiber turns one round along the inner peripheral wall 1b of the hole 1a and the coil of the outermost side is formed. In succession, the optical fiber turns one round along the inner periphery of the coil on the outermost side and the coil of the second outer side is formed. Such coiling is repeated until the coils of the optical fiber are formed one after another from the outer side to the inner side. The optical fiber coil is obtained if the coiling is repeated for as many turns as needed for the coils. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
