A disc drive device and a disc recording/reproducing device are provided to adjust the height of an optical disc to the most adequate position after an assembling operation and to prevent damage to the surface of the optical disc and abnormal sound from being generated from the optical disc, by prohibiting a contact between the optical disc and components around the optical disc. A disc drive device comprises a housing, a disc transfer unit, a rotation driving unit(41), an optical pickup(42), a pickup moving unit, a base member(40), a base moving unit, and a posture adjustment unit(90). The housing has a disc insertion unit at a front surface thereof to insert or discharge a disc-type recording medium. The disc transfer unit is positioned between a disc discharging position and a disc mounting position at the inside and the outside of the disc insertion unit of the housing to transfer the disc-type recording medium. The rotation driving unit is formed with a disc mounting unit mounted at the disc-type recording medium transferred at the disc mounting position, to rotate the disc-type recording medium by rotating the disc mounting unit. The optical pickup is mounted at the disc mounting unit to record or reproduce an information signal of the rotated disc-type recording medium. The pickup moving unit moves the optical pickup along an information recording surface of the disc-type recording medium. The base member is mounted with the rotation driving unit, the optical pickup, and the pickup moving unit. The base moving unit supports the base member such that the posture of the base member is adjustable to mount or separate the disc mounting unit for the disc-type recording medium. The posture adjustment unit adjusts the posture of the base member with respect to the housing.
