A system and a method for preventing a saving operation of recording temporary internet files are provided to protect privacy by erasing the temporary internet files including an internet surfing histories. A mode conversion module(32) is formed to activate and inactivate temporary internet files in order not to record the temporary internet files. A time stamp module(34) is formed to record an activating time corresponding to an activating state of the temporary internet files. A temporary storage module(36) is formed to store temporarily a visited URL and a typed URL. A record recovery module(38) is formed to erase the visited URL and the typed URL after the activating time, to erase a cash record after a time recorded in a time stamp, and to recover the temporarily stored record when the activated mode is released.
