A device for setting a recording schedule in a digital video recorder and a method thereof are provided to remove discomfort of inputting channel information, time information, and a recording condition. A method for setting a recording schedule in a digital video recorder includes a step of displaying a recording schedule table of a graphic user interface for a plurality of cameras(S65); and a step of setting the recording schedule by using the recording schedule table(S66). The recording condition selected by the recording schedule table is set with a priority from selected starting time to finish time.
