A floor cleaning apparatus is provided. In one aspect, the floor cleaning apparatus includes a discharger for discharging a cleansing solution and/or steam to a floor surface, a receptacle, and a rotary sweeping member adapted to sweep waste substances and discharged liquid on the floor surface into the receptacle. The rotary sweeping member includes at least one row of bristles and at least one sweeping strip and operatively associated with the discharger and the receptacle.
