A rail system comprising an elongate ducting trough ( 22 ) located, for example, generally centrally along a swept path ( 20 ). The ducting trough ( 22 ) comprises a plurality of trough sections, each defining a pair of channels ( 24, 26 ) for housing electrical cables (not shown). The system further comprises a pair of rails ( 34 ) positioned, for example, on either side of the ducting trough ( 22 ) and running substantially parallel thereto.
