A television set with portable multimedia player is provided to transmit or receive a video/voice signal and a control signal between a portable multimedia player and a television set, thereby addressing small screen size of the portable multimedia player as well as performing a sub-screen function or a recording function of the television set using the portable multimedia player. A television set with a portable multimedia player for processing output signals of a first to second tuner to a main screen and a sub screen through a video/voice processing unit in a control unit according to selections of a user includes the first to second tuner(16,20) and a PMP(Portable Multimedia Player) connecting unit(30). The PMP connecting unit has a portable multimedia player, a control unit(12) of the television set, a video/voice input/output terminal for transceiving video signal and voice signal, and a power terminal for supplying power to a communication port and the portable multimedia player.
