A plasma display panel is provided to prevent the luminance of a discharge cell from being lowered due to decrease of the discharge area by forming connecting bars between horizontal barrier ribs. A front substrate(110) having discharge sustain electrodes and a rear substrate(120) having address electrodes(130) are opposite to each other. R, G and B discharge cells are defined by horizontal and vertical barrier ribs(192,191) on the rear substrate, and a passage(200) is formed between the horizontal barrier ribs. The horizontal barrier ribs are connected to each other by connecting bars(193), in which the number of the connecting bars which are connected to the B horizontal barrier ribs is more than that of the connecting bars which are connected to the G horizontal barrier ribs, and the number of the connecting bars which are connected to the G horizontal barrier ribs is more than that of the connecting bars which are connected to the R horizontal barrier ribs.
