An ubiquitous disk based on ubiquitous environment, and a playback system of the same are provided to play and output automatically multimedia contents stored therein irrespective of kinds of players and environment. An ubiquitous disk based on ubiquitous environment includes a control unit(105), a communication interface unit(100), and a memory unit(110). The memory unit stores at least one or more multimedia contents(120) and a universal player software to be executed in an arbitrary playback module. The control unit controls a playback device to play back sequentially the multimedia contents of the memory unit by executing the universal player software when the communication interface unit is connected to a communication port of an arbitrary playback device. The multimedia contents of the memory unit are played back irrespective of kinds of playback devices connected to the communication interface unit.
