A sender telephone number information transmission method of a switching system is provided to be capable of transmitting a telephone number of a reception telephone line to a sender's mobile communication terminal as a short message, thus call connection with the reception telephone line is directly available without demanding an extension exchanging function. A call connection request signal to a particular extension number of a PBX(Private Branch Exchange) is generated from a sending mobile communication terminal(S301). The PBX analyzes the request signal to extract/store a telephone number of the sending terminal, and generates an extension number corresponding to the request signal by using a DID(Direct Inward Dialing) digit conversion table stored in the PBX(S302,S303). Call connection is attempted between the generated extension number and the sending terminal(S304). If the call connection fails, a short message including extension number information is generated(S305,S306). The short message is transmitted to the sending terminal(S307). |
