PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the comfortable seat belt fitting environment suitable for the physical capability of an occupant by setting the time for stopping the winding of a seat belt after the extraction of the seat belt is stopped according to the extracting speed of the seat belt. SOLUTION: The rotation of a DC motor 10 is transferred to a reel shaft 3 via a pulley 6 for the DC motor 10. A DC motor drive section 11 controls the rotation of the DC motor 10 based on the control signal from an MPU 14. The MPU 14 is provided with a timer 15 and an A/D converter 17 sampling the voltage signal from the DC motor 10 at each prescribed time, and it measures the inter-terminal voltage of the DC motor 10 and calculates the extraction quantity of a seat belt in the prescribed time (e.g. 0.5 sec) from the voltage. The MPU 14 calculates the extracting speed of the seat belt and sets the wait time after the extraction of the seat belt is stopped according to this value. The comfortable seat belt fitting environment having the wait time suitable for the physical capability can be provided. |
