An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device and a driving method thereof are provided to ensure sufficient data charge time by supplying scan pulses twice to one gate line. An LCD device includes gate, data, and optic source drivers(115,125,325), a liquid crystal panel(105), and a timing controller(400). The gate driver applies first and second scan pulses to respective gate line at the same time. The data driver supplies first and second data signals to data lines in response to the first and second scan pulses. The optic source driver drives different optic sources. The liquid crystal panel displays images based on the scan pulses and data signals. The timing controller supplies data to the data driver and controls the gate, data, and optic source drivers.
