The body (1) has A-column (2), B-column (3) and C-column (4), which are connected with a roof supporting frame (5) at upper ends of the columns. An adapter carrier (6) is attached on the frame and a roof module is partially accommodated in the adapter carrier. Joints run in a vehicle longitudinal direction between a roof module outer flange and the attached inner flange of the adapter carrier. The width of the joint is of maximum five millimeter, and a side piece and a sealing lip are made of rubber provided in the body. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an application of an elastic profile for centering of a roof module of a motor vehicle in a vehicle transverse direction (2) a method for attaching a roof module in an adapter carrier.
