A method and an apparatus for stacking paper media in a cash transaction machine are provided to arrange folded money neatly before the folded money is provided to a customer. Conveying machinery(110) transports paper media(P). A container(130) is located at the end of the conveying machinery, and includes a blocking wall blocking the paper media dispensed from the conveying machinery and a supporter supporting the paper media at the bottom of the blocking wall. A stack roller(140) is located adjacently to the end of the conveying machinery, and includes a plurality of stack films(142), and guides the paper media dispensed from the conveying machinery. The stack film pulls the paper media by contacting with the paper media partially.
