The trap has a casing with a closed end and an open end which surrounds a laminar structure comprising a first layer for breaking a bullet entering it, a second layer acting as a friction brake for the bullet entering it via the first layer and a third layer for distributing the explosive gases from a weapon with its mouth placed against this layer. The first layer extends away from the closed end of the casing and comprises a granular material. The second layer comprises a resilient material and the third layer comprises a cellular material.
