BAFFLE PLATE FOR A BLOW-BY GAS DRIFT ENLARGEMENT OF AUTOMOBILE

A baffle plate is provided to effectively separate oil from blow-by gas by increasing the flux of the blow-by gas during flow of the blow-by gas against the baffle plate. A baffle plate(200) mounted on an inner surface of a cylinder head cover(100) has a bottom surface with one side on which blow-by gas inlet ports(210) are formed. The other side of the bottom surface of the baffle plate has an oil collecting slot(220) connected to an oil drain hole(230) along the blow-by gas flow direction oriented to a blow-by gas outlet port(110) from the blow-by gas inlet ports. A plurality of diaphragms(240) with blow-by gas passages(242) formed between diaphragms, are arranged across the oil collecting slot. The baffle plate has a surface on which a guide wall(250) is arranged to elongate a blow-by gas flow path led to the blow-by gas inlet ports. The diaphragms have inclined opposed portions(241a,241b) so that blow-by gas passages of the diaphragms arranged in the blow-by gas flow path are tapered as it goes toward the back.
