A vertical protection net device is provided to preclude a worker from falling down and a working tool and material from falling down by connecting binding units with fixing members and covering an opening of a wall surface wholly while a safety net is vertically spread. Binding units(20) are mounted to corners of a safety net(10). The safety net is vertically spread to cover an opening(50) of the wall surface by connecting the binding units with fixing members(30) placed to the corners of the opening. The safety net is one of a net, a nonwoven fabric, and synthetic resin cloth. The edges of the safety net are formed by wire ropes(11). Turn buckles(13) are mounted to two ends of the wire ropes. The binding units have snap rings(21) mounted to the corners of the safety net, and eye bolts(23) connected with the snap rings.
