A tether fixing device for supporting a curtain type airbag of an automobile is provided to reduce the number of working processes by integrating a tether clip with a tether and conveying the tether with the tether clip to a curtain type air bag installation line. In a tether fixing device for supporting a curtain type airbag of an automobile, bolts holes(311) are formed at two sides of a tether clip(300). A tether placing unit(330) between a support unit(310) and a pressing unit(320) formed into an U shape so that a tether of a curtain type air bag is installed inside a pillar trim(400). A wedge-like snap(312) with a catching protrusion(313) is formed at the upper part of the support unit. a snap slit(321) is formed at the upper part of the pressing unit so that the catching protrusion of the snap goes into the snap slit. The tether clip integrated with the tether is installed to the pillar trim.
