A cable winding apparatus is provided to promptly and easily wind and recover a pre-installed cable on an empty cable drum, thereby planning recycling of the cable. A cable winding apparatus includes a body frame(10), a pair of flexible columns(22), a hollow rotational shaft(30), a drum shaft, a connecting pin(50), and a drive unit(60). The body frame has a pair of drum support bars. Shaft support blocks are opposed to the drum support bars respectively. The flexible columns support the tip ends of the drum support bars of the body frame and lifts the tip ends of the two drum support bars by a predetermined height. The hollow rotational shaft rotatably engaged with the shaft support block of one of the drum support bars. A torque arm is provided at one end of the hollow rotational shaft. The drum shaft is inserted into the center holes of the hollow rotational shaft and a cable drum and the shaft support block of the other of the drum support bar to rotatably mount an empty cable drum to the drum support bar of the body frame. The connecting pin integrally connects the torque arm of the hollow rotational shaft and the cable drum supported by the drum shaft. The drive unit is installed in the body frame to drive the hollow rotational shaft.
