A device for compensating color of a plasma display panel is provided to minimize color variations by adjusting R,G,B image input data by considering the deterioration characteristics of a PDP(Plasma Display Panel) filter glass due to long time use. A device for compensating color of a plasma display panel includes a cumulative utilization time integrator, an R,G,B data conversion unit(100), and a controller(30). The cumulative utilization time integrator captures data of R,G,B respective pixels of the plasma display panel and a utilization time. The R,G,B data conversion unit varies color temperature of R,G,B data through a variation curve look-up table in a film R,G,B area and an R,G,B phosphor characteristic curve look-up table according to the utilization time of the plasma display panel by the cumulative utilization time integrator. The controller controls the cumulative utilization time integrator and R,G,B data conversion unit such that color compensation is executed.
