An ejector and an ejector cycle device are provided to induce refrigerant to an evaporator by a throttle element disposed to a branch path of a refrigerant path for keeping a cooling capacity of the evaporator. An ejector cycle device includes a compressor(10) which compresses refrigerant, and a heat radiating element(20) which radiates heat of refrigerant discharged from the compressor at high pressure. An ejector(30) has a nozzle part(31) converting pressure energy of the high pressure refrigerant at a lower part of the heat radiating element to speed energy for decompressing and expanding the refrigerant, and a suction hole(33) for inhaling the refrigerant by outflow of the nozzle part. A branch path(55) is branched from a refrigerant path between the heat radiating part and the nozzle part of the ejector, and engaged with the suction hole of the ejector. A throttle unit(40) is disposed to the branch path for decompressing the refrigerant. An evaporator(50) is disposed at a lower part of the throttle unit at the branch path for evaporating the refrigerant. |
