A cyclone separator for a vacuum cleaner is provided to prevent vortex from being affected by dust separated and collected in a cyclone, thereby ensuring high dust separating efficiency. A cyclone separator(1) for a vacuum cleaner comprises a first cyclone(10), a first dust collecting part(20), a plurality of second cyclones(50), and a second dust collecting part(30). The first cyclone allows air to enter from its lower side and flow out to upper side, wherein the dust separated from the air is discharged in the opposite direction to gravity. The first dust collecting part surrounds the first cyclone, and collects the dust discharged from the first cyclone. The second cyclones, which is installed at the upper side of the first cyclone perpendicularly to a center shaft of the first cyclone, separates finer dust particles contained in the air flowing from the first cyclone and discharges it to the lower side. The second dust collecting part, which is installed at the outside the first dust collecting part, collects the finer dust particles discharged from the second cyclones.
