<p>The method involves unrolling, piercing and heating a band for softening the band before being passed into a calendering system. Calendered band is cut into calendered plates (13) and pasted before being paired with other similar plates for forming a honeycomb. The honeycomb is cut using cutting disks to form honeycomb bands. The honeycomb bands are adhered and superimposed for forming a honeycomb carpet.</p>
