A method and a system for controlling mobile nodes are provided to improve the convenience to manage the mobile nodes by setting an effective communication path. Plural mobile nodes(1041 to 104N) transmit data in a desired direction according to a first wireless communication mode, and are controlled by a server(100). A command executing gateway(102) is connected to the server in a second wireless communication mode to transmit the data to the frontmost mobile node from the server in the first wireless communication mode. A data collecting gateway(106) receives the data from the rearmost mobile node in the first wireless communication mode to transmit the data to the server in the second wireless communication mode.
