A home network system and a home network service method are provided to install a home network server in an IDC(Internet Data Center), thereby collectively managing various groups of home gateways which use corresponding home networks, consequently server management costs are cut down. A home network server group(210) comprises as follows. A home gateway interworking server(211) interworks with home gateways(240-1~240-N) to control home electric/electronic devices where the home gateways(240-1~240-N) are installed, and inquires about state information. A DDNS(Dynamic Domain Name Server)(212) manages home gateway IP(Internet Protocol) addresses of each subscriber, and delivers an IP address of a home gateway equivalent to a subscriber who wants to access the home gateway to the interworking server.
