<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device in which an optimal hardware configuration can be selected depending on the control performance demanded. <P>SOLUTION: The inverter device includes a first microcomputer 103 performing current control operation based on a current control command, and a second microcomputer 104 performing motor control operation other than the current control operation to generate a current control command wherein the first microcomputer 103 and the second microcomputer 104 deliver operation results mutually through serial transmission.
