ARSENIC-CONTAINING MATERIAL TREATMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arsenic-containing material treatment method by which the arsenic-containing material is treated to efficiently and easily recover arsenic and arsenic is prevented from being mixed in an alkaline solution to be regenerated, and the reusable alkaline solution can be thereby efficiently and easily recovered.

SOLUTION: The arsenic-containing material treatment method comprises the steps of: adding the arsenic-containing material to the alkaline solution at pH≥10 to leach arsenic in the alkaline solution while oxidizing the arsenic-containing material; subjecting the arsenic-containing leachate to solid-liquid separation; and cooling and crystallizing an arsenic-containing leachate obtained by the solid-liquid separation to recover arsenic and the reusable alkaline solution.
