PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a television set installed in a public place, at home, etc., from being operated intentionally or by mistake, and misoperated by an infant or child. SOLUTION: The television set comprises a television main body and a remote controller for remotely operating various functions of the television main body, and operation button lock devices 1 which lock functions of operation buttons provided to the television main body and the remote controller are provided to the television main body and the remote controller. Further, the operation button lock devices 1 are direct operation type switches in a non-projection shape. The operation button lock device 1 provided to the television main body is configured to set a television main body lock function 3 of locking functions of operation buttons of the television main body, a remote controller lock function 4 of locking functions of operation buttons of the remote controller, and an all-lock function 5 of locking the functions of the operation buttons of the television main body and the remote controller.
