PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-output high-efficiency optical excitation fiber laser device capable of preventing thermal damage of a laser medium or a clad, by employing a configuration in which a condensed high-density semiconductor laser diode beam is made to be incident into fiber lasers disposed along the external wall of a circular glass container, filled with cooling water from a direction vertical to the optical axis of the fibers. SOLUTION: The condensed high-density semiconductor laser diode beam is made to be incident into the photonic crystal fiber lasers disposed from the inside of the circular glass container filled with cooling water to the external wall of the container through its side face. A planar quartz glass having a reflecting film and a reflection preventing film is optically bonded on both ends of the fiber lasers by optical oxidation of a silicone oil. The flexible fiber laser having sufficient bending durability employing the photonic crystal fiber laser can provide an intra-blood vessel fiber laser surgical knife. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
