PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of executing reset leakage confirmation processing, for example, corresponding to the state of a consumer, with a simple and inexpensive constitution, in a remote monitoring system constituted communicably through a communication network between a membrane type gas meter equipped with a control part for executing the reset leakage confirmation processing for confirming gas circulation and each control part of the gas meter, in a confirmation time from the point of time of cutoff release when cutoff by a cutoff valve is released. SOLUTION: The control part of the gas meter is constituted so that a confirmation mode can be switched alternatively between a normal confirmation mode for setting the confirmation time in the reset leakage confirmation processing as a normal confirmation time, and a caution confirmation time for setting the confirmation time in the reset leakage confirmation processing as a caution confirmation time which is longer than the normal confirmation time.
