A description is given of a hermetic lighting device for use preferably as a grave light, but also for signaling purposes on roads out in the open. The device comprises a cylindrical body (5) of paraffin wax placed inside a transparent container (2) of red plastic that adheres to the body it contains, said body having a stable base (3) and a lateral surface that emits a winking light from a LED (11,12) inside the body. One high-luminosity winking LED is used or else two LEDs placed parallel. In the manufacturing process the feed batteries (13,14) and the LED are placed inside an axial blind cavity (6) formed during solidification of the wax inside a mould. Before filling the cavity with the melted wax, two contacts (7, 8, 15a, 15b) are brought onto the outside and the wax is then left to cool.
