<p>An audio signal processor, a surround signal generating method, and so forth in which a stable output signal level independent of the audio input signal and a wide soundstage width can be obtained. A DSP (5) for receiving audio input signals corresponding to the respective channels and generating surround signals which represent reflected and reverberant sounds and correspond to the respective channels generates a surround signal corresponding to one of the channels according to the audio input signal corresponding to the one channel, a variable which varies in a predetermined range depending on the signal level of the surround signal prior to a predetermined time and corresponding to the one channel, and an audio input signal corresponding to another channel.</p> |
