<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a more suitable image by automatically setting gray scale processing conditions by deciding a photographic scene and also making corrections based upon whether a vivid blue sky is included in an image. <P>SOLUTION: The photographic scene is decided on the basis of image data of an image obtained by photographing (step S6). Further, blue pixel information which is within a predetermined lightness value, on the upper part of a picture of the image data is acquired and skin color pixel information of the image data is acquired. On the basis of the blue pixel information, skin color pixel information, and absolute luminance information, an index 1 is calculated (step S9). Gray scale processing conditions for the image data are calculated on the basis of the decision result of the photographic scene, and the gray scale processing conditions are corrected on the basis of the index 1 (step S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
