<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting device for a two-dimensional code reader, allowing an optimum combination in a lens system to a reading target, and an optimum installation position of an imaging part, or the like to be easily set. <P>SOLUTION: This setting device has: a first display means describing a plurality of combinations of first setting elements among combinations of a setting element group, and displaying a first optical chart wherein a first index showing reading performance in the combinations is described associatively to each the combination; and a second display means retrieving a plurality of combinations of second setting elements each suitable for a condition from a database, subject to the combination of the first setting elements corresponding to a position indicated and operated on a setting screen on the first optical chart, and presenting a second index showing reading performance in the combination of the second condition associatively to each the combination of the second setting elements each showing the reading performance in the combination of the second setting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
