PLANAR LIGHTING FIXTURE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar lighting fixture capable of suppressing deflection of a light guide for uniform emission of illumination light.

SOLUTION: The planar lighting fixture comprises a light guide assembly consisting of a linear light source; a light guide equipped with an incidence on which the light emitted from the linear light source is incident and a flat light emitting surface for emitting light; a support member which is arranged on the surface opposite to the light emitting surface of the light guide, and supports the light guide; and a fixing means for fixing the light guide and the support member. It also comprises a case which stores the light guide assembly and supports the outer edge of the light guide.
