<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having an operating section that easily inputs a set value with a fraction from ordinary numeric keypad, and to provide a setting input display method, program and recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: When a numeric value (i) is input from the numeric keypad in a fraction input mode, it is determined whether the numeric value is within an input range set for numeric values as an integral part (S6). When a numeric value (ii) subsequently inputted can be the one's place of the integral part and can be the numerator of a fractional part, neither (i) nor (ii) is determined (S17). When the integral part and the fractional part can be determined by a numeric value (iii) subsequently inputted, (i) is displayed in the integral part, and (ii) and [/] are displayed in the fractional part, a cursor is displayed in the position of a denominator and waits for input of a denominator (S30).
