A control method is provided for a variable transmission interval (TTI) length suitable for communication environments of a mobile terminal device. A wireless base station device is provided with a receiving unit for receiving an up-stream link channel, and a scheduler for variably determining a transmission interval (TTI) length for a shared channel of the up-stream link and/or a down-stream link in accordance with at least one of a moving speed of a mobile terminal device, a position in a cell, a provided throughput, and the number of retransmissions. In a preferred example of a structure, the scheduler has a TTI allocation table describing a corresponding transmission interval length in relation to a parameter used for estimation of a position and/or a moving speed of the mobile terminal device.
