Preparation of a bisbenzoxazole compound bonded together over a conjugated double bond system comprises reacting at least an o-aminophenol with at least a dicarboxylic acid, whose carboxyl group is bonded over a double bond or conjugated double bond system, to give an ammonium salt; and reacting the ammonium salt with a solvent that exhibiting low dielectric loss, under microwave radiation, in the presence of a dehydrating catalyst.
