A method and a system for providing service continuity in a digital broadcasting system are provided to support the service continuity of a terminal which is receiving a particular service by exchanging service mapping information between a home network and a neighboring network, thereby effectively performing scheduling when receiving services. A method for providing service continuity in a digital broadcasting system comprises the following steps of: acquiring service information related to broadcasting services provided from neighboring networks; generating service mapping information indicating a first broadcasting service and a second broadcasting service by comparing current providing service information and service information acquired from the neighboring network; and transmitting service the generated service mapping information to a terminal.
