<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing corrosion, which prevents the corrosion of a pipe occurring at a contact portion of a metal pipe for transporting a gas, petroleum or the like with a trestle, prevents abrasion from occurring and progressing, and extends the life of the pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preventing corrosion in a supported part of the metal pipe which is supported by a supporting trestle includes inserting a composite body for preventing corrosion or a structure for preventing corrosion into the contact portion of the metal pipe with the supporting trestle so that the composite body or the structure can cross an axis direction of the metal pipe. The composite body comprises (a) a bar-shaped supporting member and (b) a halved-pipe-shaped member which is made from a baser metal than the metal of the pipe and is arranged so as to surround the bar-shaped supporting member.
