PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching power supply that reduces power consumption in a current detection circuit and reduces the power consumption for a pulse load with large fluctuations too. SOLUTION: The switching power supply 100, which comprises an overcurrent latch circuit 101, provided with a detection circuit 102 that detects the voltage level of a feedback signal supplied from a feedback terminal FB of a pulse oscillation circuit IC71; a comparator IC72 that compares the change in the detected voltage level with a reference voltage; and a transistor Q71 that is turned on and off by the output of the comparator, is configured to control the oscillation operation of a main switching element Q1, based on the change of the voltage level of the feedback signal.
