PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection sensor capable of rapidly executing changeover display to a function present in a lower hierarchy. SOLUTION: A fiber sensor 10 is provided with: a digital display part 12 capable of displaying a plurality of functions classified into a hierarchical structure one by one; and a CPU 25 for displaying the functions displayed on the digital display part 12 by sequentially changing over them in a predetermined order by predetermined operations of selection switches 16 and 17; wherein the operation content related to the function currently displayed on the digital display part 12 is set based on the operations of selection switches 16 and 17 and a determination switch 18. The CPU 25 displays the function displayed on the digital display part 12 by changing over it to a specific function in the lower hierarchy regardless of the order by predetermined special operations of the selection switches 16 and 17.
